A second suspect, Sergio Andrade, has been arrested and charged in connection with the armed home invasion and robbery of rapper 6ix9ine’s Florida residence, where the artist's mother was held at gunpoint. This development marks a significant step in the ongoing investigation into the violent November 2025 incident.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Sunday (Feb. 1) that 18-year-old Andrade was taken into custody following an arrest warrant issued in January. He now faces multiple felony charges, including home invasion with a firearm, false imprisonment/kidnapping, and grand larceny.
Andrade joins Pedro Rodriguez, another suspect in the case, who was apprehended in December 2025. Both individuals are charged with several offenses, including Residential Robbery with a firearm, Kidnapping, Grand Theft over $20,000 but less than $100,000, and Selling a Schedule I Substance.
Investigators allege that Andrade and Rodriguez ambushed 6ix9ine’s mother at gunpoint in the garage of the rapper’s Wellington, Florida home. Authorities state she was forced to remain outside while the suspects ransacked the residence and a Mercedes Sprinter van parked on the property before fleeing.
Although Daniel Hernandez, known as 6ix9ine, was not home at the time of the invasion, his brother and other family members were reportedly staying in a guest suite on the property. Law enforcement officials utilized a combination of cell phone data and camera footage to identify and track the suspects.
The evidence allegedly showed their movements from 6ix9ine’s residence back to an apartment in West Palm Beach, believed to be shared by the men. Rodriguez was arrested during a SWAT raid on that apartment on December 19, roughly one month after the home invasion occurred.
During the raid, officers recovered several items believed to have been stolen from the home, including a pink Chanel purse, a black Dolce & Gabbana bag, and a Louis Vuitton Pochette. Police also seized a stolen Glock 19 equipped with an extended magazine, believed to have been used during the robbery, and clothing matching surveillance footage.
Among the items reported missing by 6ix9ine’s girlfriend were Van Cleef earrings, a diamond necklace, approximately $400 in cash, her driver’s license, and three credit cards. The break-in took place while 6ix9ine was serving a three-month federal sentence.
The Lingering Shadow: 6ix9ine's Ongoing Legal Saga
This home invasion, directly impacting 6ix9ine’s family while he was incarcerated, adds yet another tumultuous chapter to the rapper’s already extensive history of legal entanglements. It further emphasizes a persistent pattern of criminal association and vulnerability that has come to define his public image.
From his high-profile racketeering charges and subsequent cooperation with federal prosecutors to recent arrests tied to assault allegations and supervised release violations, Daniel Hernandez has consistently found himself embroiled in legal battles. This latest incident, affecting his mother, tragically highlights the personal toll and wider ramifications of his controversial lifestyle.
The incident inevitably intensifies public scrutiny regarding the security concerns surrounding the artist and his family, raising questions about the long-term impact on his career. For an artist whose narrative is often dominated by legal drama rather than musical achievements, such events only reinforce a perception of constant crisis.
As the case continues, authorities confirm that efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend the third suspect involved in the home invasion, who was captured on surveillance footage and remains at large.
