Iconic Britpop legends Oasis have officially joined the star-studded lineup for the highly anticipated War Child charity album, HELP(2). The band is set to contribute a live version of their beloved b-side, “Acquiesce,” recorded during their triumphant 2025 reunion tour.

The live rendition of “Acquiesce,” captured on September 28, 2025, at the final of seven sold-out Wembley Stadium shows in London, will be released this Friday, March 6. Fans can acquire it as a standalone seven-inch vinyl single bundled with the vinyl edition of HELP(2), or as a hidden track on the two-CD version.

Additionally, the track will be available on streaming services, marking Oasis' first physical live release from their reunion efforts. Click here to pre-order the charity album and secure your copy of this exclusive track.

A Legacy of Giving Back: Oasis and War Child

Oasis previously played a significant role in the original 1995 HELP album, which famously kicked off with their track “Fade Away.” That groundbreaking project brought together a who's who of the U.K. music scene, including Paul McCartney, Radiohead, Massive Attack, and Blur, all recorded in a single day to benefit War Child’s crucial efforts in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

HELP(2) boasts an equally impressive roster of contemporary artists. Contributions include Olivia Rodrigo (covering the Magnetic Fields), Geese’s Cameron Winter, Arooj Aftab and Beck, Arlo Parks, beabadoobee, Portishead’s Beth Gibbons (covering the Velvet Underground), Big Thief, King Krule, and Sampha.

Excitingly, the album will also feature the first new Arctic Monkeys song since 2022. The majority of the album was recorded last November over one week at London's Abbey Road Studios, under the guidance of acclaimed producer James Ford, known for his work with Arctic Monkeys and Gorillaz.

Oasis' Enduring Relevance and Philanthropic Impact

Oasis' contribution to HELP(2) is more than just a track; it's a statement about their enduring relevance in the music landscape post-reunion. By offering a live version of “Acquiesce,” a fan-favorite b-side, they’re strategically catering to their dedicated fanbase while providing fresh material without the pressure of a full studio release.

This move highlights the band's continued connection to philanthropic causes, reinforcing their legacy as not just musical titans but also artists willing to leverage their platform for good. For War Child, securing an act of Oasis' stature, alongside a new generation of stars, underscores the charity's potent ability to unite diverse musical talents for vital humanitarian efforts.

In an era where charity compilations are constantly evolving, HELP(2) sets a high bar. The inclusion of exclusive live tracks, covers, and brand-new material from both heritage acts and emerging artists demonstrates a powerful formula for generating significant buzz and essential fundraising for critical global causes.
